Meet Dr. Shaku Shanmugam MBBS, FRACGP, a highly skilled General Practitioner with a passion for comprehensive health care. Her areas of expertise include Skin Cancer, Women’s, Men’s & Child Health, Chronic Disease Management, and creating personalized health care plans that cater to each patient’s unique needs.

With extensive experience in the medical field, Dr. Shaku has worked in hospitals across multiple states in Malaysia before establishing herself as a GP in Kuala Lumpur. She later took on the role of senior medical officer in a 20-bed hospital in outback Queensland for 3.5 years, followed by six years at Edmonton Family Medical Cairns.

In February 2018, she finally established her own clinic, Willowglen Medical, in Toowoomba.

Dr. Shaku has a wealth of experience working in urban and rural hospitals, as well as maternity and child health clinics in Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Australia.
In addition to her impressive medical expertise, she is also fluent in a number of languages including Malay, Tamil, Urdu, and Hindi.
